#7 Always be prepared – Can you imagine going on a trip without packing your suitcase? Teaching is a journey, and we must prepare. Gather together everything you’ll need beforehand each week. Keep these things in the same place. Invest in a milk crate box or tote to keep all your materials in for your teaching. Use file folders to keep track of each week’s lesson and materials. Always have on hand name tags, notebook paper, extra pencils, a box of tissues, and a set of your own dry erase markers. Never be caught unprepared!
