#3 If at first you don’t succeed. . . – Not everything you do with your students will work. That lesson you were all excited about may fall flat. Sometimes your students will challenge your authority, and other times they may be perfectly compliant. Maybe they didn’t do their homework or maybe they don’t even show up to class. It can be frustrating, but it means that you need to change the way you do things before they will change how they respond. Be humble and find another teacher who seems to have things under control and ask them how they do what they do. It will give them a chance to teach and give you a chance to learn.
