#4 If You Don't See a Way, Make a Way

Problem solving is a daily task.

#4 If you don’t see a way, make a way – Those who teach don’t always have everything they need in order to do the job right. Good teachers know what they need; great teachers find a way to get it. Learn how to scavenge for supplies. Find out how you can get things for free from area businesses. If you don’t have a book, find one at the library or at a garage sale. If you don’t have the right art supplies, look around your house for alternatives. You can always use buttons as beads, yarn as string, and magazines to cut out photos that illustrate what you’re trying to teach. Don’t let a lack of supplies stop you from meeting the needs of the children in your charge.
