#2 Know the Kids in the Seats

These tips are great for round table discussion or just for your own quiet reflection.

#2 Know the kids in the seats – Get to know your students as more than a name on your class list. Find out what their strengths and weaknesses are as a learner. Know enough about their home life so you can pray for them specifically. If a child really struggles with writing and every task you require is a written one, then you are setting him up to fail and yourself up for frustration. Take the time to get to know the kids in those seats, and you will be a more effective teacher.
